I was part of the 200-hour yoga teacher training course at Pokhara Yoga School in April 2020.
I started practicing yoga half a year before the course so I would consider myself still a beginner. However, this yoga training serves the needs of all kinds of levels. We had two yoga asana classes a day, plus adjustment / alignment, pranayama, yoga anatomy, karma yoga, philosophy and meditation. The practice was intense and difficult at times, however, incredibly rewarding.
I have learned and improved a lot and am motivated to continue my practice and eventually share my skills and knowledge with other yogis around the world. The teachers were amazing, all have studied yoga intensely for over many many years and have such a vast and deep knowledge that impressed me every day. Such role models!
On top of that, the facilities of the school are just excellent. There are two big and spacious yoga halls with glass windows facing the lake of Pokhara and green surroundings. The food we had been served was always organic and freshly made. I would highly recommend this training for everyone who would like to deepen their knowledge and skills about all the topics surrounding yoga. This training is also highly suitable for those who do not necessarily plan to become a yoga teacher in the future.
Big thanks to Pokhara Yoga School who helped me on my path!

I am very happy about the decision to do my YTT in Nepal. Before, I had feared that a YTT abroad might be too commercial and take place in much too large groups - which definitely was not the case! Furthermore it has to be said that the whole Corona crisis was handled very well and I always felt extremely safe and comfortable.
Concerning accommodation, food, the course program, the teachers(!), the nature surrounding you(!), I definitely can't say any bad word. On the contrary: very very nice!
To sum it up: My expectations were exceeded and they were not very low to begin with, I can assure you!
Thank you very much for this wonderful time,

I will cherish my time at Pokhara Yoga School in Nepal for many years to come. It was a wonderfully peaceful place to complete teacher training and I have fond memories of everything from the people, to food and accommodation at Infinity Resort, Pokhara.
The teaching was inspirational and I really felt I learnt more than expected about asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy etc. There is so much to take in during an intense month-long course and you can only do so under good guidance and support, which was definitely provided by the teachers. I particularly loved the Ashtanga classes first thing in the morning; it is the perfect way to start the day and you will gain a strong practice by the end of the course. Meditation each evening was difficult to begin with but, as with everything, the more you practice the easier it became. I am grateful to have learnt and improved a lot.
I would really recommend this course and I have nothing but good things to say about my time in Nepal with Pokhara Yoga School. Despite my sadness to leave this beautiful country, I am comforted by the fact I will return one day to complete 300hr teacher training and continue on my yoga journey.
Thank you Pokhara Yoga School Nepal. I look forward to seeing you all again someday!
